Gurunath Chinchkar, a builder of Navi Mumbai, shot himself dead and alleged the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of harassment as the reason in his suicide note. His son, Naveen was arrested in a drug smuggling case and fled India. Even after cutting all ties with his son, Chinchkar alleged that NCB has constantly harassed him and his family.
